This pitcher holds one gallon. The filters can last up to three months or one hundred gallons. I was spending $104 per month on bottle water and water delivery. Living on a limited income you have to let go of your luxuries. Sad to say Bottle Water is a luxury that I cannot afford.
The systems I found at Walmart. is perfect for my budget. I look at the other brands of drinking systems but the filters were outrageously high more than $10.Comparing with other drinking systems there were two sizes for most brands of filtering system., A five gallon and a one gallon. the filter prices were what I was looking at no need in buying a system then not be able to purchase a new filter; The cost for the one Gallon Pitcher which included a filter was $14.98 and the filter were $9.98 and last three months.
You ask how do you know when to change your filter well the button on the filter will turn red all the way across. It is going on two months since I bought this system and this is were the button is right now. I drink nothing but water, No sodas or Juice only once in awhile I will drink something else like soda or juice. I only have one kidney and drinking water can make my stomach upset from the tap. I use the drinking water delivery service before and paid $104 monthly. Plus I bought at least four cases of drinking water extra a month. that is 1/8 of my income. I was uneasy about trying these new systems. I had to make sure I could afford the filter. I am saving up for the 5 gallon container also but the filters are more than under $10, I am stocking up on my gallon filters now. My husband gave me the idea to try because he said this is what the send to the people who have disasters and need drinking water. I thought if it works for them and they are not getting sick it will work on my tap water.
I love this drinking system I don't taste any difference it taste just like spring water. I am glad I shopped around and found a drinking system that would be affordable to me. I love it I don't think I will go back to delivery or buying cases of water again. I am getting the 5 gallon Filtere and filters for camping trips and beach trips, traveling in general.
